Meet Ricardo, a Portuguese border guard officer working as a fingerprinter in our operation in Spain. Before joining Frontex in 2020, Ricardo served in the National Republican Guard for 20 years, was deployed to Iraq and East Timor, and opened his own self-defence school in Porto.
