The Common Core Curriculum for Border and Coast Guard Basic Training in the EU aims at harmonising border and coast guard training in the EU Member States and Schengen Associate Countries as a prerequisite for the development and launch of any course for border and coast guard basic training in the EU. Moreover, the common training curriculum for basic level border and coast guards lays the foundation for cooperation and interoperability among border and coast guard officers, enabling them to participate in joint activities to ensure safety and security within the territory of every Member State.
