On 16 May 2024, Frontex (the European Border and Coast Guard Agency) will organise an Info Day to present the Research Grants Programme, its flagship research financial support scheme. In 2022, Frontex successfully launched the first call for proposals and awarded grants of the total value of EUR 240 000 to four distinctive applicants. All research projects co-financed by Frontex are non-profit and focus on developing innovative, future-oriented technologies tailored to assist border and coast guards in their various areas of responsibility.
