The main purpose of the conference was to facilitate knowledge transfer and dialogue among the various stakeholders, as well as to summarize the key opportunities and challenges that biometric solutions at the border face both now and in the near future. As an example of a challenge the conference also looked in more detail into the threat to security potentially posed by morphing and discussed the latest updates on the status of potential morphing attack detection solutions.
