Meet Tine, a police officer from Denmark currently working as operation coordinator in Greece. Tine has served in the Danish Police for the last 22 years. As a Frontex officer, she coordinates the crews of two vessels patrolling the Greek coast, consisting of Danish Navy, Danish Police and Greek Coast Guard officers. “Normally in the Danish Police, I work at the green border between Denmark and Germany. To get on this mission I had to learn some new skills to be able to sail and to work on the blue border. I am the only woman in a leading position in this Danish Frontex mission and I do hope that I can be an inspiration for other women to participate because it has been a very enriching experience for me.” Find out what are the necessary steps before and after each crew starts their shift, and how Tine keeps in touch with her family at home.
