On 29 April 2024 new Frontex transparency policy was adopted by the ED Decision in order to strive to increase Agency’s transparency and accountability by embedding such principles throughout the organisation and act on them accordingly. The document was prepared based on the contributions and consultations across the Agency. The most important added value is more proactive publication of more documents in the Public Register of Documents. The action plan identifies areas that could be improved in terms of transparency of the Agency towards the public, the EU bodies, the EU Member States and the Schengen Associated Countries, the Frontex special functions and the Frontex staff. It includes more than 25 improvement actions.
